Some notes outlining development of my project ideas (apologies for the handwriting)… and thinking towards the final piece… how these questions might begin to inform the final piece. Click on them to enlarge.

online sketch book

This week has been exciting.

I found out that with John, Tim and others efforts in staging the Test Site Show ‘Motion. Time.Space.’  had gone ahead and that 2 photos of mine had been included. That was a big thrill. And has lead to thoughts about getting to London  both this year & next to help put up the show.

It has been interesting to put  some work in to a context along side others on the course. Taking part in this show has made me begin to realise and question the context arournd this project for the MA.

Also this week I have been asking round more about websites and have tried out Piczo and Picaweb.

Following on from that came the discovery of  a free site,  Aniboom which had  Shapeshifter that allows you to create gifs. That was great fun.

I tried downloading  a free trial of Aftereffects from Adobe, but there seemed to be a fault  each time I tried to download and I was unable to take that further.

Also I came to a resolution for the thread and text pieces I made last year. I have broken the pieces I made up and adhered them to toilet paper (the required support surface for the project)  for a mail art project based in Australia called WIPE which I have contributed to before.

Not so good was having an important phone call in the middle of Mondays chat which took me out of the session.

In psychology especially Jung’s the shadow is a centeral idea. I am hoping that shadows will make a visual metaphor for unconcious movements and be a link to our subconcious identiy.
